My small quilt group met Tuesday. I was eager to unbox an older ufo that I plan to finish for the rainbow scrap challenge at so scrappy. My list said I had the blocks done. And so it was. I knew I would have a little floor space to lay it out to decide how I wanted to finish it. I took a piece of fabric with me in case I wanted to use it for sashing. I am not a big fan of sashing. Sometimes, there is a great secondary pattern that disappears with sashing. And it takes forever. One jelly roll makes 20 blocks. Without sashing, this quilt would be too small, in my opinion.
This is a Bonnie Hunter free pattern quilt called boxy stars. My black and yellow version is from 2016
|12 1/2 inch blocks|
|time to cut more sashing|
I should be able to finish this month.
